Cooldown this Summer with a chocolate mousse that you wouldn’t believe is made of avocado. Indulging into something that’s actually good for you? It sounds like a win-win. 🙂

So, as we may have mentioned, we kind of discovered avocados this year. And “discovered”, we mean we finally actually experimented with them. We were always afraid we wouldn’t like that “mushy” texture. But in a recipe like this, you kind of need that mushiness.

Ingredients

For the mousse:

  • 3 very ripe and soft avocado cut into pieces

  • 2/3 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 2/3 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/2 fl. coconut cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • For garnish: Vegan chocolate A few strawberries

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in the blender and beat until the mixture forms a light mousse.

  2. Pour into tall glasses.

  3. Serve immediately or chill then serve.
