Ingredients:
- 2 slices of a rustic loaf of bread
- 2 cups cremini mushrooms
- 1 shallot, sliced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup Nafsika’s Garden Mozza/Pizza shredded style cheese
- 2 tbsp Nafsika’s Garden Parmesan shredded style cheese
- 3 slices Nafsika’s Garden Smoked Gouda style cheese
- Pinch of fresh thyme
- Cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Clean the mushrooms by wiping off any dirt with a paper towel or clean sponge. Cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot and simmering, add the sliced shallots and cook until they are translucent and soft.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and release their juices. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until brown, fragrant, and significantly reduced in size.
- While the mushrooms are cooking, toast your sliced bread. Set aside.
