Just regular waffles? Come on, we could do better!
Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- 3 tbsp vegan liquid egg substitute
- 1½ cups non-dairy milk
- 1 ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 6 tbsp vegan butter – melted and cooled
- 1½ cups Nafsika’s Garden cheddar cheese – grated
- 4 tbsp Nafsika’s Garden parmesan cheese – grated
Method
- Mix the non dairy milk with the apple cider vinegar, allow it to sit for 10 minutes
- Mix in a bowl all the dry ingredients together, once the milk mixture has become slightly thicker, add it to the dry ingredients, mix well, add the vegan egg substitute and 4 of the tbsp of melted butter. Mix well.
- Heat up your waffle iron and brush it with the melted vegan butter, once it’s hot, place ½ of the mixture into each side (or more if you have a bitter waffle iron) and cook for about 5 – 7 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve hot!
